My favourite species is the human race, closely followed by dogs.The first, utterly varied, indefinable and to be both loved and feared. Dogs counterbalance the unreliability of us lot with their predictable characteristics and trainability.

Amongst these images, those on black background are taken from old family photographs that needed culling. Some I could not bear to return to the box so I painted them-small, 6x6" acrylic on mdf wood. The process proved therapeutic, engaging me with my past and discovering how caring my big sister had been of me as we grew up.
